Our School Day

The school gates will be open on a morning from 8:40am with registers taken at 8:45am. Parents with a child in Nursery need to take them into the Nursery foyer where they will be greeted by a member of the Nursery team. If children are in Reception or Key Stage 1, they should be accompanied by an adult onto the Key Stage 1 playground and the adult should stay with the child until they have safely entered school. Children in Key Stage 2 should be dropped off at the school grounds by an adult, unless they have permission to walk to school without adult supervision. Adults do not need to supervise children on the Key Stage 2 playground; however, they may do so if they wish.

The school expects all children to be on the school premises at this time. When the children in sight have entered the school building, the gates and doors will be locked. Any children arriving after this time should be taken to the school’s main office.

At the end of the school day, children must be collected from their school playground by an adult. If children are in Year 4, Year 5 or Year 6, they are allowed to walk home if the school has received a letter from the child’s parent or carer giving their permission.

Please note that children will not be dismissed to an adult if the school has not received written or verbal consent from a child’s parent or carer.
